About
Welcome to Restaurante Playa de Estorde, an enchanting dining gem nestled along the scenic shores of Estorde in A Coruña, Spain. This picturesque venue is not just a restaurant; it embodies the spirit of coastal dining, offering its guests stunning views of the beach that enhance every culinary experience.
As you approach Restaurante Playa de Estorde, the promise of delightful seafood and local delicacies beckons. The ambiance here is a harmonious blend of relaxation and sophistication, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. However, diners are encouraged to be mindful of the differences in offerings between the indoor and outdoor seating areas. Some dishes require pre-ordering, ensuring freshness and quality but may leave unprepared guests feeling a tad disappointed—something I recommend inquiring about upon arrival.
Guest reviews paint a vivid picture of the dining experience here. Erin May Brandstaetter highlighted the location's charming beachside atmosphere, reminding us that while the pricing reflects this prime locale, the food is nevertheless enjoyable. Victor Castro echoed this sentiment, emphasizing how the combination of excellent views and delicious seafood paired with refreshing drinks leaves a lasting impression. For those seeking a calmer experience, João Abreu found solace in the tranquil setting, indulging in various "raciones" and desserts, each promising a burst of flavor that captures the essence of coastal cuisine.
What truly sets Restaurante Playa de Estorde apart is the outstanding service. As Mar Vergara noted, the staff goes above and beyond, providing not only food and beverage recommendations but also local tips that enrich your visit. This attentiveness transforms a meal into a memorable evening, where every detail is tended to with care.
While there are occasional critiques—Paul Stanley's experience highlighted a quest for service inside the beautifully decorated venue, albeit with a less-than-desirable aroma—the outdoor experience shines bright, especially on sunny days. The blend of an inviting atmosphere and the allure of freshly prepared food, such as the delightful boccadillo de jamon, offers a taste of local life.
In summary, Restaurante Playa de Estorde serves as a picturesque culinary retreat, where the sound of the waves complements the fresh flavors on your plate. Whether you are savoring seafood or exploring the variety of "raciones," this eatery promises to deliver an experience that respects both the ocean's bounty and the warmth of Spanish hospitality. So next time you find yourself in A Coruña, make sure to stop by and taste the magic of the Estorde coastline!
“ This is a really nice place by the beach with pricing to reflect the location. Be sure to ask the difference in what is served outside vs inside before being seated. Some items have to ordered in advance. We weren't aware and were disappointed. The food we ordered was good. ”
“ Great place! The view is excellent! We had some seafood/drinks and also great. Didn't stay at hotel (3 star) but according to staff it has all the amenities. Overall a great experience.. glad we stopped! ”
“ A really calm and good spot. We went for various raciones and postres — everything was really good ”
“ The waiters went above and beyond - from great f&b recommendations to evening suggestions. They really made our night. ”
“ No customers but had to go in search of service, inside looks beautiful but smells of cat wee. Outside on a sunny day couldn't be more beautiful. Ordered a small beer and sandwich. 8€ for a boccadillio de jamon in Spain? ”
“ Wow. What a special place. I wanted to stay here as a treat on our Camino Fisterra as it’s right on the beach and the seafood looked amazing. We were not disappointed and the weather smiled in us! 22C and not a cloud in the sky. Wine in the terrace snd time on the sand and in the sea. Delicious paella tapa and later Arroz caldoso con Bogavante. Delicious. The dining room is elegant with the beautiful view across the little Sandy bay. If you get a chance to stop here - spoil yourself! Loved it and the rooms were very comfortable. It was a delight to lie with the windows open listening to the waves and watching the sun set over the sea and palm trees. ”
